Josh + Ashley - Wedding

Over the river and through the woods to a beautiful mountain wedding we went. I don't think Josh and Ashley could have picked a more perfect location. Nestled in the mountains of Deep Gap, NC Josh and Ashley were married outside with the sounds of birds chirping and the bubbling of the creek running by. This simple outdoor ceremony was full of love. Every time you would catch Josh and Ashley looking at each other you could see the devotion in their eyes. What a blessing it is to be in the presence of such a happy couple. Josh and Ashley we wish you all the best!

Location: Deep Gap, NC
DJ: SoCal Entertainment

* Diana was my second shooter for this wedding. You can see her handiwork below as indicated by the asterisk (*). Also don't forget to check out her website at www.swingswag.com

This crafty bride made her own garter and styled her own shoes! It was so neat to see her handiwork in all of the details of the ceremony and reception. Such cute ideas!

So it took me a second to figure out what was going on here when this group hit the dance floor. Everyone needs a little "Thriller" dance show at their wedding! They actually did a pretty good job!

After awhile it was time to get the bonfire started.  I was happy too because the mountain air was getting a bit cool.

Thank you Josh and Ashley for inviting us to your celebration!  We wish you many long years of happiness!

Charles + Kristin - Wedding

Love is in the air... how could there not be when you travel to the beach for a destination wedding!  Our sweethearts for this wedding were the lovely Kristin and handsome Charles.
Charles and Kristin were married at the beautiful Brunswick Plantation & Golf Resort in Calabash, NC.  Talk about gorgeous!  A warm breeze, the setting sun...  the perfect setting for a fantastic wedding.  In front of friends and family Kristin and Charles said their I-do's and pledge to live happily ever after.

As day turned into night we were thoroughly entertained as a variety of bridal party members and guests serenaded us with their favorite songs.  Some of them were quite good!  What a neat idea for a wedding reception.  I have to say though one of the highlights of a reception is the dancing.  I love watching the guests laughing, dancing and simply having a good time.  By now I know most of the popular group dances that dj's play.  However Kristin did pull a new one out on me.  She and one of her bridesmaids demonstrated the highly energetic dance called, the Percolator.  Wow!  I think I would have been done for after the first couple of steps!

By the end of the night Kristin and Charles were happy, tired and more in love than ever...

*Thank you to the wonderful Diana who helped me with this wedding.  You can see her photos as indicated by the asterisk (*).  Don't forget to visit Diana's website:  www.swingswag.com  Interested in swing dance lessons?  Have photos that you would love to create a presentation with?  Talk to Diana.  She can help you out!

After a beautiful wedding and delicious dinner the rest of the evening consisted of karaoke and dancing and more karaoke and more dancing.  I have to admit I was impressed by both!

To kick things of this big fella was the center of attention as he defied gravity and demonstrated his super human strength.....

.... or maybe it was just the worm.  But a mighty fine worm it was!

By the end of the night we were all a bit tuckered out... :)
