Chris & Jessica - Wedding

Only Chris would be able to wear bright orange shoes and attract the attention of a beautiful girl!  After wandering into the bike shop where Chris worked, Jessica finally met the wearer of those bright orange shoes.  They soon discovered that they had a love that was meant to be.  A few dates, a few years and a house later they made it official.  And their official date ....Feb. 29 (Leap Day!).

In a private dining room at Caffe Luna in Raleigh the two pledge their love to each other in a ceremony with a style all of its own.  A close friend presided over the ceremony while family and friends looked on.  Borrowing from a variety of wedding customs the two tied the knot.

This is a fun little series of photos that is reminiscent of some other photos that I had shot with Chris and Jessica.  http://rebeccahollandphotography.blogspot.com/2011/07/80s-themed-contest.html

A few days after the private ceremony Chris and Jessica hosted a reception party for all of their friends and family.  Everyone was invited to celebrate the marriage of Chris and Jessica at the Raleigh Elks Lodge.

Chris and Jessica enjoyed showing off their moves as they did some shag dancing for everyone.

Here's a photo of Jessica dancing with Chris's 90 year old Granddaddy!  Adorable!  I heard that Granddaddy got on the dance floor later on during the night and busted a move.

The dessert table was not lacking in sweets!  Chris and Jessica provided a shmorgishborg of candies, cookies and cupcakes for their guests to snack on.  Talk about yum!

And they lived happily ever after...

Congratulations to Chris and Jessica!  Many happy wishes and blessings to you both!

Chris & Jessica - Engagement

So for the first post on my new wedding blog I'm excited to share pictures from an awesome couple.  I know first hand how awesome they are because I happen to be related to one of them!  It was such an honor to have my brother ask me to photograph his engagement session and wedding!  I've photographed Chris and Jessica before but there was just something special about this session.  You can blame it on the googly eyes but there was no doubt that love was in the air!
